Sometimes there's nothing better than watching the light as it fades from the day. Every time I see a sunset I can hear my Mom calling "sunset alert" and imagine walking through the house on Main Street to see it drop behind the house across the street with colors blazing across the sky.
Today the sun is setting on our time with Erin in town. I hate when visitors leave. But I have to remind myself that every time I go to the airport to drop off yet another departing guest, my time to fly home is coming closer. More importantly, there are still more visitors to come and how could I disappoint them by wishing my time and theirs away? So I will remain head held high, eyes on the prize, all that good stuff and just give Erin and David big hugs as they go on without me.
